smugs I often listen to specific music when i´m in a specific mood. This album, and ´Oranges and Lemons´ specifically I can listen to anytime and it will boost my mood. If I´m sad it comforts me. If I´m angry it calms me down. If I´m happy it lifts me up even more. It may not do the same to you, but there´s high chances you´ll enjoy listening anyway. Favorite track: Oranges and Lemons.

clivemonster Cinematic and inventive, there are some sounds on here I've never heard before !! MrSteJ takes you on a trip where your mind adds the pictures and the possibilities are limitless. Repeated plays only add to the experiences. Damn excellent - so glad I got it. Favorite track: Everyone is Cured Sooner or Later.

Michael Reilly Super 'soundtrack' album inspired by Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four. Artistic ambience and electronic sound paint moody landscapes hinting at dystopian and authoritarian control themes – nothing is heavy-handed though, so it's a pleasurable journey to embark on. Favorite track: Our Duty to the Party.

about

My new release 'Victory Gin' features music inspired by George Orwell's 1984.

Here's some details about the album.

Very early on in March of 2020, I was in a coffee shop in Gdańsk reading Nineteen Eighty-Four. On the table in front me was my notebook, a pen and of course my drink. I’d officially started this new ‘project’ where I was planning to create some music inspired by science fiction books, starting with Orwell’s classic.

Why this book? Well, I suppose it was an easy choice because I’d read it before but also because it just felt like the perfect starting point. Almost too perfect as it turned out, as life began to start imitating art as I read on. More on that in a bit.
